1Paste the whole thingA full draft, not a paragraph — the marking looks at structure and argument, so it needs the shape of the essay.

2Pick the essay typeAnalytical, persuasive, creative, comparative or reflective. Each is marked against different criteria.

3Compare the rewriteUse the stronger example and criterion feedback to improve your own next draft.

Weekly Leaderboard

Points you earn in quizzes this week count here. Resets every Monday — climb the ranks and level up.

1Earn points in quizzesEvery quiz you finish adds points. Harder questions and better accuracy are worth more.

2Climb through the weekThe board is live — your rank moves as you study, and everyone starts level again on Monday.

3Play for the habitThe league is a reason to come back on the days you don't feel like it. That's the whole trick.

ATAR planning

Understand your state's rules and plan your next study steps.

Your ATAR is a rank based on scaled results. School marks and practice quiz scores cannot be converted directly into an ATAR. ATARprepAI does not predict your ATAR.

Start with your admissions centre

Use the rules for your qualification and graduation year. These official guides explain eligibility, scaling and how results are combined.

WA · TISC
WACE scaled scores, the Tertiary Entrance Aggregate and course combination rules.
VIC · VTAC
VCE scaled study scores, the English requirement, primary four and permitted increments.
NSW · UAC
HSC course units, including English, and how scaled marks contribute to your ATAR.
QLD · QTAC
Eligible QCE subject and VET combinations, scaling and the English eligibility requirement.
SA & NT · SATAC
SACE and NTCET eligibility, the 90-credit university aggregate and recognised studies.

1Check entry requirementsFind your course's prerequisites and selection criteria on the university's website. A published selection rank may include adjustments.

2Choose subjects with adviceDiscuss your strengths, interests and eligible subject combination with your school or careers adviser. Scaling alone cannot tell you which subject to choose.

3Plan the work you can doUse teacher feedback and practice results to choose revision priorities, then set time aside in your study planner.

Study Timer

Focus in sprints with short breaks — the Pomodoro method. After 4 focus sessions you earn a longer break.

Focus

25:00

Focus length

1Pick a sprintTwenty-five minutes is the default. Shorter if you're struggling to start, longer once you're warm.

2Work until it ringsOne subject, phone face down. The break is part of the method, not a reward.

3Keep the streakSessions are counted, so the habit becomes visible even on the days it doesn't feel productive.

Match

Tap a term, then its match. Clear the board as fast as you can.

Start a new set on anything

1Load a setAny topic or saved deck with at least three cards.

2Clear the boardTap a term, then its match. The timer runs until the last pair is gone.

3Beat your timeSpeed is the point — it forces recall before you can reason your way there.

Write

Start a new set on anything

1Pick your materialA topic or a saved deck. Write shows the definition and asks for the term, or the other way round.

2Type it from memoryNo options to pick from. Producing the answer is what makes it stick, which is why this is the hardest mode.

3Check your meaningCase and repeated spaces are ignored. If your wording differs, compare it with the saved answer and choose whether to count it yourself.

Learn

Adaptive practice — smart multiple choice when useful, then type it from memory. Avi keeps drilling what you miss.

Start a new set on anything

1Generate or pick a setType any topic, or open a deck you already saved. Learn needs at least four cards to build a round.

2Multiple choice firstWhile a term is new you choose from options. Once you're getting it right, it switches to typing from memory.

3Check your meaningCase and repeated spaces are ignored. Different wording needs your own check against the saved answer before it counts.

Test

Test yourself on a deck

Answer from memory, mark it honestly, then retest whatever you missed until it is clean.
